"It was important that all aspects of the project were covered completely by Sino from producing a very effective computer animation of how the product worked for advertising purposes, to the manufacture of each of the components, to the assembly of the product, to the packaging through to the shipping and logistics, in fact everything was to be included to give David the “complete package” with total confidence."
The product Top-Baiter is a new, revolutionary and innovative product designed primarily for Carp anglers who like to fish “on the surface”, it enables the angler to accurately deliver attractant and hooked bait to a selected fishing spot in a single cast which means that the bait is always in a prime position to attract and catch fish.
The inventor of this clever product was Mr David Moore, the founder and owner of FirstFlow Creations Ltd who are based in Gt Yarmouth Norfolk UK, during the early design stages David had been building the prototypes using very basic materials and had managed to prove that his principle worked. It was at this point that he realised that for the project to go any further he needed the experience of someone with the expertise of product design and development and the network of contacts that would be useful if and when the time came to go into production.
My involvement This is the point in the project where I came in (Paul Goodman a Director and Consultant of Simstar Consultants, Norwich, Norfolk, UK), David was introduced to me by a mutual business friend and together David and I refined the design by making the product more aerodynamic yet still capable of delivering an effective payload of attractant to a reasonable casting distance (60 – 65 metres has been achieved).
Finding the right manufacturing partner
Once FirstFlow Creations Ltd and Simstar had perfected the product design, it was decided to select a trustworthy and competent Manufacturer and with my knowledge of Sino having worked with them on previous projects had no hesitation in recommending them to David to “bring on board” as the Company to work with.
The Terms of Reference for the project were simple yet concise and consisted of the requirement for top quality materials, to the specified design, competitively priced (for tooling and products) but still being open to suggestions and recommendations from Sino where they could be implemented into the overall package, I didn’t just want a Sub-contractor for my Client, I wanted a Company that would work with us to produce a quality product and Sino fitted the bill perfectly.
It was important that all aspects of the project were covered completely by Sino from producing a very effective computer animation of how the product worked for advertising purposes, to the manufacture of each of the components, to the assembly of the product, to the packaging through to the shipping and logistics, in fact everything was to be included to give David the “complete package” with total confidence.

Sterling Separation Ltd.
STERLING Separation Ltd found the Sino team to be supportive, creative and efficient as we embarked on our first own-design injection moulded product.
We had the functional specification of the finished product well understood, but translating that into a practical design that could be realised at a viable price required significant input from the Sino team. Added to that was the fact that for commercial reasons we needed a very fast turn-around. From our initial sketches, and through a few iterations it took only 8 weeks to get 3D prototypes in our hands.
After that we were able to negotiate a 6-week tooling turnaround. So, despite significant assembly and packaging still being required when the plastic parts arrived in UK, we had finished product available for sale in well under 6 months and ahead of our deadline.
